We have a team of five experienced and passionate farm animal vets who work together to service sheep and beef farms in the Northern Wairoa region and beyond. We often like to work in geographical areas so you get the benefit of your usual veterinarian who you get to know. With a large farm animal team you also have the benefit of lots of backup when it gets busy and because we all have different areas of interest you benefit from expertise in a wide range of areas.

Working Dogs

We at Dargaville Veterinary Centre realise that not all dogs are created equal and that there is a marked difference between ‘stay at home Fluffy’ and’ out there doin’ it Rex’. Working dogs, be they herding sheep in a paddock, chasing cattle on a hill or sniffing out pests in the forest, are in so many ways different to their more residential counterparts
